Jeevana is organically committed to the development of sustainable livelihood opportunities for the poor people and the workers in the unorganized sector in our operational area.By sustainable livelihood we mean that a livelihood system that meets present needs without compromising those of future generations. Needs  are considered as those sufficient to live a decent and humane life with enough resources to ensure food, shelter, clothing, basic education and literacy, personal and community health, etc for today and for tomorrow,  for us and for all.  It implies that the poor should have the capabilities, assets and activities required to ensure a means of living. Jeevana ultimately strives for building up this capabilities, assets and activities among the poor communities.
